John Gibney attended the Irish/Swiss Institute of Horology from 1972 to 1975. The course covered all aspects of watchmaking including theory and micro-engineering as well as extensive practical work.
After graduating he worked in several jewellery shops in Ireland and for Rovada, a company assembling their own brand watches.
Moving to England in 1987 he has been in full-time employment in the watch repair trade since then, attaining Rolex accreditation in 1997, until 2003 when he took the plunge and became self-employed full time.
In 2012 he completed the full Rolex course as a refresher to update his knowledge and skills. John offers a full and extensive repair and servicing programme of high quality time pieces, Omega, Tag Heuer, JLC, Panerai etc., specialising in Rolex. John has a fully equipped workshop, to repair and refurbish all models up to and including the Submariner.
